The US economy expanded annualized 3.4% in Q4 2023, slightly higher than 3.2% previously reported, according to the BEA’s third estimate. Consumer spending was revised higher (3.3% vs 3.2%), excluding services (4.3% vs 3.3%, structures (10.9% vs 7.5%) and investment in equipment (-1.1% vs 2.9%).
