China issued an official map with an 11-point line enlarging the area of its territories in 1947 but reduced it to a 9-point – line last year – near Taiwan. Infrastructure includes barracks, surveillance radars, naval ports, and air bases. Vietnam (100 million people ) and the Philippines (114 million people ), are also building military bases, entering into separate alliances and trying to reserve territories
